Gottman Horsemen and Antidotes: The Methods to Recovery

The Gottman Horsemen, also known as the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" in the context of relationships, are four negative communication patterns identified by Dr. John Gottman and his colleagues. OASIS held a seminar to educate the youth and discuss the ways that we can break this cycle and promote healthy recovery and healing.

Creative Art Intervention

Creative Art Intervention is the practice and use of artistic methods and expressions—such as visual art, music, theater, dance, or literature—to engage individuals or communities in a process of reflection, healing, and emotional processing. OASIS hosted a local Creative Art Intervention Workshop at Almaden Branch Library for younger children in which they made and crafted Self-Affirmation Jars as a way to channel their emotions into a positive output and create an environment in which positive affirmation and healing is associated with community.
